Best Of $6.99 Personnel includes: Ben Tankard, Fred Hammond, Mark & Joey Kibble, Yolanda Adams.Digitally remastered by Chaz Harper (Battery Mastering, New York, New York).Ben Tankard, the proclaimed “godfather of gospel jazz,” offers up this “greatest hits” collection commemorating his first 15 years of music ministry. Alongside the smooth jazz flavor that dominates this project are a number of guest appearances from some of the industry’s top artists. Fred Hammond & RFC is featured on the rhythm-driven “Don’t Stop.” Take 6 and Tankard do a masterful job covering the Stevie Wonder classic “You Will Know,” and Yolanda Adams adds her special touch to the track “You Bring Out the Best in Me.” A nice project to put on during those quiet, reflective moments. ~ Tim Smith |

Neo Sound Best $22.99 With little new material (other than the wicked saxophone-boosted re-recording of “D-tecnoRize”), Neo Sound Best is still a worthwhile release that offers a concise summary of what’s essentially the most fun and upbeat nu metal band in the world, at least in the 2000s. Granted, UVERworld’s studio albums weren’t much different in sound or quality anyway, so owning Neo Sound Best is only slightly better than getting the CDs that provided the tunes for this record — but it is better, after all. The collection packs UVERworld’s prime material — tunes that showcase not just the band’s ability to stretch the start-stop riffs over a speedy, almost punkish rhythm section, but also add all sorts of vocal hooks and techno beats to sell the songs. Like many Japanese bands, UVERworld overdo their compositions: the arrangements jump all over the place, with hand clapping, rapping, power pop crooning, gang choruses, acerbic industrial guitars, post-grunge riffs, Spanish acoustics, and background pianos all crowding to prevent the songs from sticking in your memory. But this is still pop music in the best sense of the word, constantly melodic, easily accessible at every turn, never losing steam, brimming with youthful optimism, and full of condensed groove. If the band has got that much fun stuff to cram into every song, who’s really going to fault them for this? UVERworld’s music was always a hit with anime series and TV dramas, and, indeed, Neo Sound Best plays like one big credits symphony, but in this case, the credits may be better than the actual show — not demanding attention, but entertaining and mood-boosting nonetheless. Quite possibly, this is the best thing the 2000s Oricon charts have to offer. ~ Alexey Eremenko |

Very Best Of Ed Ames $6.99 Additional personnel includes: Perry Botkin, Jr., Al Capps, Artie Butler, Jimmie Haskell (arranger, conductor); Claus Ogerman (conductor).Compilation producer: Paul Williams.Includes liner notes by Joseph F. Laredeo. All tracks have been digitally remastered. This is part of RCA’s “100th ANNIVERSARY” series. The Very Best of Ed Ames might seem like a skimpy anthology with only 14 tracks, but it is an excellent distillation of this classic pop singer’s solo recordings. Ames, having come from the barbershop-style Ames Brothers quartet, offered pop standards, continental pop, show tunes, and adult contemporary music on his solo albums, but his hits were mostly in a contemporary vein. The Very Best of Ed Ames covers most of Ames’ big hits and concentrates on broadly appealing material like “My Cup Runneth Over” and the antiwar song “Who Will Answer?” Ames’ foray into country music yielded a winner with his version of Jerry Reed’s “A Thing Called Love,” and a few of the cuts here are in a similar country-pop style. After the success of “Who Will Answer?,” Ames attempted other message-oriented songs, like Wally Whyton’s “Leave Them a Flower,” to which he was not well suited; it would have been better if that track had been omitted in favor of one of his other big easy listening hits like “Timeless Love.” Aside from that minor quibble, The Very Best of Ed Ames offers a fine retrospective of the mightiest baritone in pop music. [RCA released this collection only a year after the Taragon label licensed many of the same recordings for a 20-track Ed Ames anthology with the exact same title.] ~ Greg Adams |

London Conversations: The Best of Saint Etienne $11.99 Die-hard Saint Etienne fans have all of this stuff but, for the casual explorer, Heavenly’s 2008 collection London Conversations: The Best of Saint Etienne is the best place to catch up and fall in love. Covering everything from their first single through 2002′s Finisterre, London Conversations offers up a good spread, with hits and obscure B-sides occupying equal territory. The running order runs (mostly) chronologically on each CD, but the sequence flows well enough that the “mx-tape” vibe remains hip-ly intact for the listener. ~ J. Scott McClintock |

"). Why question how are you? In fact, I'm not 100% sure, I guess it's sort of market research things. As for prices, which have many good video games, cell phones, iPods, and all standard payment for such sites, most prices are good on the 100 points that is not much, I was a member of 2-3 weeks and has 92 points (I will put the PSP-3000 bundle Rock Band ~ 100 points). What happens is lockerz which is currently in beta so it is only for customers (which was released in October), I can send an invitation if you're interested, send me e-mail you want the invitation sent to (you can email me via my profile with the address or any other matter)

Promised Land [CD-ROM] Queensryche's follow-up to the double-platinum Empire is something of an acquired taste, but it's well worth the effort. There's considerable variety here; the heavy progressive-rock of "I Am I" and the ballad "Bridge" were hit singles, but there's also the funk-inflected "Disconnected", the edgy, spooky "Lady Jane", and the piano-and-vocals "Someone Else?". The title track is probably the stronge... |
