Hello, I'm doing a course in web design and as part of our assessment, we need to optimize an image in Photoshop for my website. In the course, said that when you have finished editing the image to register on the web, but for Photoshop CS3 and I have that I photoshop 5.0. I tried to download the free trial 30 days, but not all installed, there is another way you can save for the web version 5.0, you can be more time consuming, but it would be nice to know, thank you 
First - Are you sure you do not have Photoshop 5 option "Save for Web ... I think the function is performed in Photoshop 5 ... check ... on the File menu if the menu can be truncated to press (Or scroll) on the down arrow (in the bottom of the menu.) - BTW, I consulted with Photoshop 5.5 is installed on my system and the "Save For Web "is available. - Second case of "Save for Web" option does not exist ... just use "Save As" (Make sure the image is 100 %)::: 1. select the appropriate format (GIF images and vector graphics with gradients, little or none, with pictures few colors) or JPEG (raster images, pictures, many colors and shades) 2. enter your name and move file to a destination to save the picture to "hit save" 3. If JPG (JPEG Options dialog box pop-up) - that the preview box is checked 4 .. When quality change "image" Options 8 5. Where is the formatting option "change" baseline optimized "6. Please account when determining the quality, the box preview of the image visible and tested 100%, you can see how it affects the image compression. This means you are able to move the eye to see the difference in quality between 0 and 12. The goal is to make the picture look better in the smaller file size possible. 7. Mira "Size" file ... in the lower part of the JPEG Options dialog box, you will see "Size" ... bed "size file and the upload speed Internet Speed @ selected "(ie 142.91K / 25.24 @ 56.6 kilobits per second) 8. Be sure to adjust the speed of 56.6 9. Again, you try to get the best image possible with the smaller file size. 10. Using this method, a quality score of 8-10 is ideal ... However, if the image contains only a few colors and minimal color variations, you can use a small level of quality files and download size 11. Click OK ----------------- Optimizing a GIF file: 1. Select "Save As" 2. enter your file name, select GIF, and go to a destination to save the image to "hit save" 3. An Options dialog box pop-GIF 4. 89th Departure 5.
