international move, best way to send my pet snakes?
I have two ball pythons for over 10 years, my husband was transferred to France and left my snakes to the custody of my brother as we are. Brother can no longer care for them and think I'm in France for many years to come. Airlines do not allow you to send a snake unless you are an authorized carrier, but do not share the list of approved companies. I am also having trouble finding the necessary documents to correct. When I called the Fish and Wildlife Service said they need a permit, but the license that I have to prove they were in captivity bred.When I bought it said they have been bred in captivity, but never had the documents proving this. Does anyone have experience with transportation and procedures for international travel for reptiles? By the way I am attached to its power to give to a shelter is not an option. You must complete the appropriate documentation of the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora) and will also to be sent by licensed companies, like Delta Cargo. I think other airlines provide freight services for live reptiles, but Delta is the most common. You will be sent using FedEx but are generally used for internal transport.
