The parameters used to be a little clearer. From here you can save money by building your own computer. All I had the knowledge base, time and initiative, wah-la! You had a good computer at a better price you could buy new ones.
But things have changed over time. As technology improves and prices dropped suddenly economies have apparently fallen pieces. However, it is not always the case and there are still many good reasons to build your own computer!
Customize your needs
By building your own computer, you can customize to your needs. Whether you're in the game, video production, sound recording, autocad, or word processing only and browsing the Internet, you can create a team specifically suited to its task.
Uploads updates easier
By using non-proprietary, quality parts, a new team of home construction will be much easier to update its store bought counterpart. Many computer owners have retail components that are fixed in such a way to make the replacement or upgrading difficult. The personal computer should be easy to repair and maintenance work for a while.
Learning Experience
Building a team is a great learning experience. You get to see first hand what you have done all the parts and how they work together. It's not just education, but a lot of fun too! And you will satisfaction and pride to have a tangible result of their work at the end of your project.

There are a number of reasons why most computer stores purchased today are lower those of a measuring machine. computers often come with retail software that incorporates the best average. The quality of much of software is relatively cheap, and most of it is probably unnecessary. Often misspelled proprietary software (written specifically for this equipment manufacturer) and usually infest every nook and cranny of your computer, which slows performance and storage space.
Much software marks are included in the basic versions and even trial versions. If you need quality software (and who does not), most likely going have to buy separately anyway.
Many computer components are also owners, so that repairs and improvements difficult. Sometimes the components available on the market, it is not working well or not at all with a lesser team. And often they are not designed for plenty of room to develop or improve.
Warranties
An argument in favor of buying a computer from a seller is to get a good warranty. This has some merit, but keep in mind that the guarantees of cash is not a walk in the park! It may also be without your machine for a while during the time it is repaired or replaced.
The acquisition individual components are most likely also have a guarantee, if you can not be the alternative source. The issue of security is probably equal to the method you choose.
Replacement vs partial update
An alternative to creating a scratch team makes a major update. This should be cheaper compared to total replacement, and still can give you an excellent machine adapted to their needs. You must already have a computer evolving, however, and should have some key components that can be built around. Perform a cost analysis And benefits, and determine the best method you use.
A personal experience
In the 90 late of my Win95 Pentium 100 (bought retail) desktop computer became very poor. It was almost unchangeable, there was no room for expansion and major elements (case base plate) are obsolete. So I bought a custom computer (tower only, no monitor or peripheral) of an experienced friend, and I served together for several years.
Several years later I went in the audio and upgraded to larger hard drives. I also buy a larger monitor.
Last year, I made significant improvements, especially around my audio recording needs. I bought a new case and motherboard, while the use of my existing hard drives and all peripherals. Along the way, I'll update more hard drives (the new motherboard supports SATA) and a monitor new flat screen.
You can see that over the years, I kept my system fairly common and suit my needs for less than what happened in the complete replacement of a similar machine. I had fun and learned a lot in the process, too.
Not only that, but brought the case plate and replaced, I bought some hard drives used more of a friend, and my old computer to a backup machine. You can see the degree of flexibility can build custom computer.
What is best for you?
This is something that only you can decide. But if you have interest, willingness to learn, the need for customization, and the desire for a robust and quality, I think it is an ideal candidate for building your own computer!
